Meet Our Staff
Grassi Service Technicians
Randy is a retired Volunteer Firefighter from Westside Fire & Rescue in Westside, IA. He joined the Grassi team in 2011 as a Service Technician and brings 13+ years of experience in the HVAC/R and Electrical field. He has his HVAC/R Electrical License in Washington State. Randy lives on the Confederated Tribe of the Umatilla Indian Reservation where he loves to garden and river kayak.
Chris joined our team as a Service Tech in early 2016. He came to the Northwest from Southern California. The accessibility to the Blue Mountains and the Rivers has kept him here in the Walla Walla Valley. In his free time, Chris participates in hunting and fishing. He is married with two children, and a German shorthaired dog and labrador complete his family.
Daniel is originally from Springfield, Missouri where he got his start in HVAC and Refrigeration. He moved to Walla Walla with his family and joined the Grassi team in September of 2017. Daniel volunteers with Habitat for Humanity in Missouri, and enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and working on old trucks. He and his wife have 4 dogs and a cat.
Manny was born and raised in Kennewick, Washington which is part of the tri cities. He moved here right after high school to attend Walla Walla Community College. He originally came to be part of the wind program but ended up doing the electrical part as well, so he graduated with both degrees. He has a lovely girlfriend and a family dog named Lola.
Codi has worked at Grassi since 2017. He was born in Idaho and raised in Walla Walla. He graduated head of his class in HVAC/R in 2018. He also enjoys fishing, kayaking and helping others in need.
Meet Our Staff
Zack started at Grassi in 2017. He was born and raised in Pendletion, OR but moved to Alaska when he was 16. He is currently enrolled in WWCC for business management and pkans to start volunteering in the community in the near future. When he’s not working, he likes to spend time with his girlfriend and her 2 kids. Outside of that, he enjoys fishing, hiking, working out, and likes staying active.
Tim came to Grassi from Yakima, WA and joined our team as an installer in 2006. He is married with 4 children at home. In his spare time, he loves spending time with family and friends. He is also a talented tattoo artist and enjoys creating tattoos in his time off.
Diego joined the Grassi team in 2011, and left for a short period in 2015, before returning in 2016. He was born in Mexico and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He came to Walla Walla in 2000 and has been here ever since. He enjoys raising his family here in the Valley. Together, they spend as much time as they can outdoors, often hanging out at the river. When he has the time, Diego enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking.
Rich joined the team in 2016. He was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, but his love for the Blue Mountains (and work) brought him here to us! Rich has sheet metal trade knowledge for the past 25 years! In Rich’s free time, he works on building cars and participates in drag racing. Rich is married and has 3 grown kids, and also has 2 cocker spaniels.
Phil first came to Grassi in 2008 and currently works as an electrical trainee. He was raised here in Walla Walla and has stayed in the area to be close to his family. When Phil is not working, he enjoys riding BMX bikes, playing basketball, and spending time with his two children.

Grassi Management/Office Staff
Born and raised in the Walla Walla Valley, Alex grew up working part time for Grassi Refrigeration. He received his refrigeration degree and after working full-time with the company for many years, he has now taken over the business from his father, Arnie. Alex enjoys golfing, going to sporting events, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
John has worked for Grassi since 1987 and is now our General Manager. He has been in the area his entire life, with the exception of the four years he served in the United States Coast Guard. After returning home from the Coast Guard in Alabama, he attended Walla Walla Community College and began working in the HVAC field. Since 1980, he has been a volunteer firefighter / EMT with the Walla Walla County First District. John, along with his wife, has two grown daughters and two granddaughters. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, gardening and keeping up with his granddaughters.
Jeff has been with Grassi since 1997 and currently our Service Manager. He moved to Walla Walla from Enterprise, OR and earned his AA degree at Eastern Oregon State College and Walla Walla Community College. Prior to working at Grassi, Jeff worked in the timber industry. In his free time, he loves to fish, hunt with his 2 dogs, camp, and four wheel with his wife.
Tami has been our Office Manager since early 2006. She was born here in Walla Walla and has lived here most of her life. Tami and her husband of 39 years raised their two children in the Valley. Her family and friends are very important to her and she spends as much time with them as possible. Her two grandchildren are at the center of her life. In her free time, Tami is active in our community. She volunteers with the Blue Mountain Humane Society and is on the board of the Walla Walla Exchange Club. Tami enjoys travel, shopping, scrapbooking, photography, and walking. She especially likes to participate in a variety of charity walks and fun runs.
Ashley was born and raised in the Walla Walla Valley and joined our team in 2010. She has two young daughters who keep her very busy. She stayed in the area to be close to her family and enjoys watching her girls grow up around family. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys scrapbooking, and doing a variety of Fun Runs and Agility Challenges. She currently works as our Dispatcher.
Vickie was born in Kansas and moved to Metaline Falls, WA at 8 years old. Two years later, her family relocated to Missoula, MT. Her husband’s work brought her to Walla Walla. She joined the Grassi team in 2016 and works as our bookkeeper. Vickie is married with one daughter and three dogs. She volunteered with the Blue Mountain Humane Society and fostered dogs for 3 years. In her free time, she likes to garden, camp, fish, hike and sew.
Meet Our Staff
Fred was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has remained in the Walla Walla Valley to be close to his family. He worked for Grassi for a period of time in 2006, and returned to our company in 2014. He is married with two grown children and an adorable grandson. Fred is quite active in his church and enjoys spending time with his family. He spends nearly everyday running and likes to do a variety of fun runs.
